After Canada beat the USA in the recent championship hockey game, people began discussing things like – as one internet blogger noted – the “geopolitics of Trudeau’s decision to post his comment on X after their win over the USA. Apparently, this has caused much discussion.

The first word of the post is Musk addressing Trudeau by referring to him as “girl.” In some ways, it relates to an ethnic way of communication more common in black culture than others. It needs to be partly seen in this light. It certainly shows the knowledge of this ethnic form of communication.

Then, the reference to the word “governor” of Canada. Musk tells how he sees Trudeau, reinforcing the Trump comments that Canada should be the 51st state. This is Musk’s notice to Trudeau that he has never seen him as a national leader. Mostly, as a governor of America’s 51st state. And, a bad governor at that.

Perhaps, more than anything, the quote is an overall reference to Trudeau’s feminine qualities as opposed to his masculine qualities. Not that one or the other is the better but Musk is highlighting masculine values in the response as a basis of judging Trudeau in terms of Masculine qualities. Probably, all world leaders, all citizens, might be judged on these qualities and new types of communities created via AI? Or something like this.

It is definitely a time when masculine values hold dominance over culture in America right now as well as in emerging locations around the globe. Many discuss ideas and ideologies about our challenges today. Yet few consider that larger symbols – than their own ideas, theories and ideologies – might be in battle today. Up a little above the chemtrails.

Is all of this an attempt to reconcile the masculine and feminine archetypes in America?

In the world?

Might these two great symbols be in conflict today more than at any other time in our history? A nation like America, founded at the intersection of the masculine (freedom) and feminine (equality) symbols, the dynamics between these two offering the greatest and fastest rise of a nation in world history. Those who fail to consider the importance of the role of the battle between these two great symbols in assessment of the nation’s past, the assessment of your past, always sees none of the picture, or, half at most.

Much of the same archeytypes of Masculine and Feminine that define the Republican and Democrat parties. The two founding Masculine and Feminine archetypes of America are embodied in the Republican and Democrat parties. As well as all media and communications and entertainment today.

The response of Elon Musk to the Trudeau post is drawing much attention today. It does not respond to the threat from Trudeau but rather puts Trudeau into a place where his threats have no longer have any power. As head of a nation, they once meant something. Soon, they will mean little as they are threats from someone who is no longer in power.

In some ways, the short quote establishes the essence of what Marshall McLuhan once labeled as “cool” or participatory culture. In effect, it allows the reader/observer to “participate” in creating the final communication product. Two-way communication.

This is what Musk does with his response to Trudeau. The post from Trudeau is part of old world communication. Like all the great dailies and TV networks of America. What McLuhan might call “hot” media. One-way communication. A bullying threat of using the metaphor of not a “snowball’s chance in hell.”

The Musk response is brutal as it is aimed directly at Trudeau and points out Musk’s belief Trudeau is associated with feminine politics, be this a good or bad thing. Yet, the quote also employs a cool, inner city word of “girl” in addition to the feminization of Trudeau. Inner city language. To the leader of Canada. Musk responding to Trudeau, on the X platform of Musk. Using an inner city word and relgating Trudeau in rank from Prime Minister to Governor.

All within the short response from Musk to Trudeau’s post. As usual, much said in few words by Musk. (“I want to die on Mars but not on impact.”)

Musk does not respond to Trudeau as much as he makes suggestions of images he views Trudeau by. There is the directness of communication within the younger generation today in addition to other symbolic aspects of the communication suggested above.

The point is a brilliant piece of cool media showing (not broadcasting) the way the world’s greatest genius technologist sees the leader of Canada. The cuts to Trudeau are in the few words in addressing him and not making any comeback to his assertions.

A cool response to a hot message. Suggesting what he views Trudeau as: someone with soon no power.

One of the “coolest” broadcasts over television occurred a few nights ago with the Sean Hannity interview of Trump and Musk together. Before you criticize please take the time to view this interview. Observe the person dynamics between Trump and Musk. Such a new relationship in politics! Something never seen before. Trump trusts the world’s greatest technologist and wealthiest person. And Elon trusts Trump 47. Observing this interview, as well as other sources, it is one of the most friendships. At this time. Where will all of it go? So much energy with Musk. Like putting the old “bull” in the “china shop” of Washington DC.

One of the communication challenges for the Democrats today is moving from “hot” one-way messages to “cool” messages. The fact is, the new Trump administration is already there. Has there ever been a more interesting cast of political players? The players a casting director in Hollywood would pick.

In terms of media, this is the major change a media critic like myself would see in Trump 45 and 47. The first Trump was much more one of a “hot” one-way broadcast media paradigm. This second one is perhaps the most “cool” interactive presidency the nation has ever seen. Much of it comes with Trumps narrow escape from death as he has admitted.

There is a new found peace with Trump. Answers to all sorts of questions come spontaneosly from him after a question. He has little desire to hold things back. I’ve never seen a president so transparent in my lifetime as Trump has been during the first month of his presidency.

Musk is a type of WIld Card in all of this. The true “sidekick” of the President. Almost like that sidekick in the old western movies and TV shows. Much is to be said for this genre that promoted masculinity moving into the West of America, opening it up to exploration. Not that the feminine archetype didn’t play a very important part in all of this. The feminine always providing the “home” or context of life while the masculine providing the content of life, on its way to find it’s context of life and stabilize.

The world’s greatest negotiator matched with the world’s greatest technology genius. Not just a match-up but a friendship and a sharing of passion and purpose. All types of researchers can spend time on how things got to this state. It might be of more value to observe this new era of cool politics and X communications like that of Musk to Trudeau. Trump looked very relaxed in the interview he had with Musk on Hannity. He was relaxed and let Musk speak for as long as he wanted to.

Something new is rising in culture. A new spirit. A new approach to things. A new way of communication. It is the era of cool X politics among other things.
