It’s 22 degrees in Columbus, Ohio now. It’s times like this I think of my homestate of California. Particularly, a great time with my son Christopher. It’s been almost exactly two years ago that I enjoyed a bottle of Chalk Hill cab with my son Chris. I lived in Sonoma County for five years and Chalk Hill is my favorite. About ten miles north of Santa Rosa, California. If you look carefully at the above photo, in the far left square part of the black gate, you can see little dots in it. These are the Chalk Hill crew pruning the hills. A larger photo of the crew is below.

Yeah it’s cold back here and it would be nice to having a glass of wine at Chalk Hill with other family members. But winter in Ohio has it’s own beauty. Like a photo below taken in the countryside outside of Columbus.
