Essence of the Sun
It wasn’t looking like great weather for the Spring opening of LettuceWork, a nursery in New Albany, Ohio. I know much about LettuceWork. It was started by my brother and sister-in-laws Doug and Julie Sharpe to grow ad sell lettuce and provide work to autistic employees as well as help them transition into jobs in the outside world. They had much interest in the area of autism as their son Daniel was autistic. Over the lettuce growing transitioned into a non-proit nursery.
I was on the Board of Directors of LettuceWork for many years. I’ve seen the facility grow from just an operaition with a few growing bays to a sophisticated modern facility.
Doug and Julie have implemented a Fall Season with pumpkin patch rides in a wagon through the field owned by LettuceWork behind the nursery. A number of other buildings surround the central nursery area.
An Isle of Flowers at Lettuce Work
I walked around inside Lettuce Work. The flowers more beautful than I had ever seen them. What is really more beautiful than flowers?
