A new form of power has developed on the left during the past four years, and it is resistant to traditional attacks from the right. It is based on hiding the real power from the populace by placing a controllable puppet in the presidency. President Biden provided an excellent puppet with a progressive mental decline based on age. Now, Vice-President Harris provides another excellent puppet with her lack of popularity and poor record.
Despite what one might feel about Presidents Kennedy, Clinton and Obama, they operated out front in office not from hiding from the populace like Biden. The current strategy of the left is to seek a candidate with little popularity. In effect, a Democrat candidate popular with the voters offers a great threat to those really pulling the strings of the president. A candidate with low popularity is a perfect type of Manchurian Candidate president who owes allegiance to a source of power other than the voters.
Traditional strategy of the Republicans during an election is to attack the candidate’s policies and record in office. The VP’s record is open to all types of attack. But these attacks are misdirected because the policies of the administration were never directed by the outward faces of leadership but by the hidden controllers of the administration. The new Democrat president should not be a leader with ideas. What is required is a relatively empty vessel. An empty vessel can be filled with ideas much more than a vessel that already has some thoughts in it.

For these reasons, a Republican candidate does not run against the Democrat candidate but the hidden machine behind the candidate. The machine is quite formidable and is much more than the traditional smoke-filled rooms of old Democrat politics. Today the machine involves the news, entertainment and tech industries and billionaire donors. At the DNC in Chicago, the entertainment industry will be out in full force and the convention will appear more as an Academy Award program than a traditional political convention. And of course, the Best Actor Award will go to Kamala Harris.
It is reasonable to suspect past President Obama is key controller of the political machine. But then, this is not to say there are not other hidden controllers of Obama. Of course, no one ever hears a hint of Obama’s continuing connection to political power.
A Republican candidate today does not go up against a particular Democrat candidate but rather a machine made up of key elements of modern propaganda: news, entertainment and technology. Behind this is the Hollywood story machine that owns the tricks of storytelling and how to manufacture heroes and heroines and place them in dramatic, emotional stories. Expect Hollywood’s storytelling abilities to be on full display at the DNC in Chicago.
For example, on April 26, 2024 The Hollywood Reporter (THR) announced Steven Spielberg will help plan Biden’s re-election convention in Chicago. As THR noted, Spielberg is advising the president’s campaign on how best to convey his vision for a second term. Of course, the world was changed by the hidden forces that controlled Biden’s presidency and now his VP Harris is the candidate. But there is little doubt that Spielberg is now developing this “vision” for Kamala to convey during her campaign.

Harris is the test for a new “Biden 2.0” version of the presidency controlled by the hidden machine. In effect, a type of second Manchurian Candidate president placed in power by the machine rather than voters. The Republican and conservative media continue to bombard the Democrat Presidential candidate with evidence of her failure as Border Czar and her historic low in VP popularity. One can see this evidence on conservative media all day long and into the night. There is no lack of points of attack on Harris.
But the machine has gone into action in the few weeks since her coronation by the machine as candidate of the party. Technology has worked at scrubbing her records from the Internet and the tactic of gaslighting has started in full force again. It has been a tactic practiced repeatedly by the Biden administration, given words most often by the White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation that makes people doubt their own memory, their perception, and even their sanity. Over time, a gaslighter’s manipulations can grow more complex and potent, making it increasingly difficult for the victim to see the truth.
Commercials are pervasive of the “new and improved” Kamala without the strange laugh and weird comments that leave even Democrats scratching their heads. Behind the scenes PR people are at work 24/7 making her more likeable and less likely to put her foot in her mouth.
In just a few weeks, she has had a meteoric rise in money coming into her campaign and a rise in the polls. The billionaire donors to the party who forced Biden out have now fallen in line behind Kamala. And, she has hit the campaign trail hard. But like other situations, she has almost always had a script in front of her to read from. Whether she will ever go off script and debate Trump is questionable. The Democrats hate to go into situations where they don’t control the optics and Trump’s (wise) insistence on a Fox debate seems only fair since most all debates have been on Democrat media. Questions are being asked if she will go into a type of hibernation like Biden in the final months of the campaign.

A new tactic has developed based on placing controllable puppets in power and hiding the real power source from the populace. To be a controllable puppet, the Democrat machine (of news, entertainment, technology and billionaire donors) requires a weak and unpopular candidate, a candidate beholden to the machine for election rather than the populace.
The Democrats have found their Biden 2.0 in Harris and if they are successful at getting her elected, there is little reason for the hidden source of power controlling the nation to ever show its face again. It will simply be refined to be more effective and hidden from view.
Modern political power uses the magician’s skills of distraction of the populace from the large issues of our times to the fashionable things of the moment in news, entertainment and technology. The distraction is also away from the hidden sources of power to the puppet faces of power.
