Music “The Golden Age” by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

Each year, my cousin David Berry sends a video out each December. Usually, it’s a collection of the year interpreted in video around the Bay Area where David lives. His videos are a little different from other homemade videos. In 1985, David received an Oscar for his work in Special Effects for the movie Cocoon. At the time, he was working for George Lucas’ special effects company Industrial Light & Magic.

This year, scenes from family movies spin into other shapes as if the movies are pieces of crystal in a kaleidoscope being constantly turned. The individual frames of the family movies swirl around almost like dervishes as the themes of Peace, Love, Earth are repeated over and over in the video, appearing in various forms.

Around the new year, what more important words are there than peace, love and earth?
