Rose Creek (Photo by John Fraim)
There has been construction all summer in the park that Rose Creek runs through. Signs have diverted traffic through detours around all of the construction. Large bulldozers and dump trucks have been working for months carving out a new park in the woods. Soon the park will be open to the public.
The photo above was taken in the middle of all this construction and noise only yards away. The sound of trucks coming and going and jackhammers and chainsaws. But, looking at the above photo, you might suspect we are in some isolated woods far away from civilization.
Construction & Detours Only Blocks from the Rose Creek Woods
One of those unplanned, spur-of-the-moment photos that come along now and then. Taken from the bridge that goes over Rose Creek. The creek suggested a sense of peacefulness in the middle of all the chaotic construction. The viewer drawn into the peacefulness by the meandering of Rose Creek which starts at the left bottom of the photo and disappears close to the middle part of the photo.
Taken at sunset, the “magic hour” of light for photographers. A Lumix FZ 2000 ii was the camera and 5 exposures taken using automatic bracketing and then merging and editing in Photomatix Pro software. ISO 250 at 89 mm F/4 at 1/100 second shutter speed.
Exceedingly interesting.
