A GoPro Max 360 Was the Camera / Patrick Cullis the Hiker and Videographer / Angel’s Landing in 2025)
As an ower of two GoPros (the Black 12 and 13 I believe) I’ve never seen any GoPro shots that equal what’s on the above video by Boulder, Colorado meteriologist Patrick Cullis. His spectacular work has served to bring awareness to many new areas of the world.
The above is really an advertisment for Patrick’s artistic and creative ideas as well as his craftsmanship and skills in showing these ideas to others.
Cullis is a Research Assistant at the Global Monitoring Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University before joining NOAA’s Ozone and Water Vapor group in 2005 working on the digital frostpoint hygrometer. After spending a year stationed at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Patrick returned to Boulder to work in the ozone balloon lab launching weekly ozonesonde balloons, processing site data, reconditioning instruments, and coordinating purchasing, shipping, and logistics for the 8 NOAA balloon sites. Much important information about the earth is being gathered from Patrick’s baloons.
